Words - Waltzing Matilda
Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong
Under the shade of a coolibah tree
And he sang as he watched and waited till
his billy boiled
“You’ll come a–waltzing, Matilda, with me.”

Waltzing Matilda,
waltzing Matilda
You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me
And he sang as he watched and waited till
his billy boiled
“You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me.”

Down came a jumbuck to drink at that billabong
Up jumped the swagman and grabbed him with glee
And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck
in his tuckerbag
“You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me.”

Waltzing Matilda,
waltzing Matilda
You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me.
And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck
in his tuckerbag
“You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me.”

Up came the stockman, mounted on his thoroughbred,
Down came the troopers,
one, two, three.
“Who’s that jolly jumbuck you’ve got in your tuckerbag?”
“You’ll come
a-waltzing Matilda with me.”

Waltzing Matilda,
waltzing Matilda,
You’ll come
a-waltzing Matilda with me.
“Who’s that jolly jumbuck you’ve got in your tuckerbag?”
“You’ll come
a-waltzing Matilda with me.”

Up jumped the swagman and sprang into the billabong,
“You’ll never
catch me alive,” said he
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong
“You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me”

Waltzing Matilda,
waltzing Matilda
You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong
“You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda with me.
Words - Come and Sing Together
If you’d dance then you must have
Boots of shining leather.
Money in your pocketbook,
In your hat a feather.

But if you would sing with me
You don’t need a cent, you see,
So come and sing together

If you’d dance then you must have
Boots of shining leather.
Words - Simple Gifts
‘Tis the gift to be simple,
‘tis the gift to be free
‘tis the gift to come down
where we ought to be.
And when we find ourselves
in the place just right
we’ll be in the valley
of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gained
To bow and to bend
we shan’t be ashamed
To turn, turn will be our delight
Till by turning, turning
we come ‘round right
Words - Grandma's Feather Bed
When I was a little bitty boy,
Just up off the floor,

We used to go up to Grandma’s house
every month end or so.

We’d have chicken pie, and country ham,
And homemade butter on the bread.

But the best darn thing about Grandma’s house
Was the great big feather bed.

It was nine feet high,
six feet wide,
soft as a downy chick.

It was made from the feathers
of forty ‘leven geese,
took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick.

It would hold eight kids, and four hound dogs,
and the piggy we took from the shed.

We didn’t get much sleep but we had a lot of fun
on Grandma’s feather bed.

After supper, we’d sit around the fire,
and the old folks spit and chew.

Pa would talk about the farm and the war,
and Granny sing a ballad or two.

And I’d sit and listen, and watch the fire,
till the cobwebs filled my head.

Next thing I know, I’d wake up in the morning
in the middle of the old feather bed.

It was nine feet high,
six feet wide,
soft as a downy chick.

It was made from the feathers
of forty ‘leven geese,
took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick.

It would hold eight kids, and four hound dogs,
and the piggy we took from the shed.

We didn’t get much sleep but we had a lot of fun
on Grandma’s feather bed.

Well, I love my Ma, I love my Pa,
I love Granny and Grandpa too.

I’ve been fishing with my uncle and
I’ve wrassled with my cousins and
I’ve even kissed Aunt Lou.

But if I ever had to make a choice,
I guess it ought to be said,

I’d trade them all plus the gal down the road
for Grandma’s feather bed.

It was nine feet high,
six feet wide,
soft as a downy chick.

It was made from the feathers
of forty ‘leven geese,
took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick.

It would hold eight kids, and four hound dogs,
and the piggy we took from the shed.

We didn’t get much sleep but we had a lot of fun
on Grandma’s feather bed.
Words - When the Saints go Marching In
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, Lord, I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Oh, when the stars refuse to shine
Oh, when the stars refuse to shine
Oh, Lord, I want to be in that number
When the stars refuse to shine

Oh, when I hear that trumpet sound
Oh, when I hear that trumpet sound
Oh, Lord I want to be in that number
When I hear that trumpet sound
Words - El Nacimiento
San Jose y Maria
a Belen llegaron
Pidieron posada y se la negaron

Joseph and Maria,
to Belen they journeyed.
Though they needed shelter, everyone refused them.
Words - O Come, Little Children
Oh come, little children, oh come, one and all.
Oh come, to the manger in Bethlehem’s stall
Come see, lying here, it’s the heavenly child,
So poor and so humble, so sweet and so mild.

Oh look in the manger, so near to the ground.
See here by the light that is shining around.
The shepherds are kneeling before the small bed
While caroling angels are heard overhead.

Oh come, join the angels and sing to the child.
With shepherds, and Joseph, and Mary so mild.
Oh, lift up your voices to sing with delight
And look at the babe who was born Christmas night.
Words - Good King Wenceslas
Good King Wenceslas looked out
On the feast of Stephen
When the snow
lay round about
Deep and crisp and even
Brightly shone the
moon that night
Though the frost was cruel
When a poor man
came in sight
Gathering winter fuel

Hither, page, and
stand by me
If thou knowest it, telling.
Yonder peasant, who is he? Where and what his dwelling?

Sire, he lives a
good league hence,
Underneath the mountain,
Right against
the forest fence,
By Saint Agnes’ fountain.

Bring me food and
drink so fine
Bring me pine logs hither.
Thou and I shall
see him dine
When we bear them thither.

Page and monarch
forth they went
Forth they went together,
Through the rude winds’ wild lament
And the bitter weather.

Sire, the night is
darker now,
And the wind grows stronger
Fails my heart I
know not how,
I can go no longer.

Mark my footsteps,
my good page
Tread thou in them boldly.
Thou shalt find the winter’s rage
Freeze thy blood less coldly.

In his master’s
steps he trod
Where the snow lay dinted.
Heat was in the very sod
Which the saint
had printed.
Therefore everyone
be sure,
Wealth or rank possessing,
Ye who now will
bless the poor,
Shall yourselves find blessing.
words - kindle the candles
Now we kindle the candles,
remembering the days of old.
Lights full of mystery,
lights full of history,
Blazing of battles
brave and bold.
Telling the story,
of faith and glory,
Maccabees who fought
to worship free.
Still beside us, old Matthias
Calls the faithful,
come along with me.

As each night we
add one light
We add a prayer that freedom is for all.
For you know we
keep them holy
Till the lights are shining bright and strong!
words - this land is made for you and me
This land is your land, this land is my land

From California, to the New York island.

From the redwood forest, to the Gulf Stream waters

This land was made for you and me.

As I was walking that ribbon of highway

I saw above me that endless skyway.

I saw below me that golden valley,

This land was made for you and me.

This land is your land, this land is my land

From California, to the New York island.

From the redwood forest, to the Gulf Stream waters

This land was made for you and me.

I’ve roamed and rambled, and I’ve followed my footsteps

To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts.

And all around me, a voice was sounding

This land was made for you and me.

This land is your land, this land is my land

From California, to the New York island.

From the redwood forest, to the Gulf Stream waters

This land was made for you and me.

As the sun came shining, and I was strolling

And the wheat fields waving, and the dust clouds rolling

As the fog was lifting, a voice was chanting

This land was made for you and me.

words - superhero
I’m so bored in school today
Want to go outside and play
Wish I could take off and fly away
Wanna go home and take a look
Inside my favourite comic book
Cos in my head
I’m a hero too

Batman, Superman, Spiderman,
Everybody loves them, even my Gran
Wonderwoman, Catwoman, Supergirl
They save the world

Captain America, Iron Man,

Flying through the air with Supergran
What am I to do?

I wanna be a Superhero too!

Nobody knows who I am

When I give a helping hand
Always try to do the best I can

I want to be big and strong
Fighting villains all day long
People sing my Superhero song

Batman, Superman, Spiderman,
Everybody loves them, even my Gran
Wonderwoman, Catwoman, Supergirl
They save the world

Captain America, Iron Man,

Flying through the air with Supergran
What am I to do?

I wanna be a Superhero too!

I beat Sandman and the Joker,

Dr Octopus and Lex Luthor

I’m the best they’ve ever seen

But everything stops when Mum calls me in for tea

Batman, Superman, Spiderman,
Everybody loves them, even my Gran
Wonderwoman, Catwoman, Supergirl
They save the world

Captain America, Iron Man,

Flying through the air with Supergran
What am I to do?

I wanna be a Superhero

be a Superhero

be a Superhero too!

Be a Superhero too!

Words - yellow rose
There’s a yellow rose in Texas
I’m going home
to see.
I miss that little lady,
I’m sure she
misses me.
She cried so
when I left her,
it almost
broke my heart;
And very soon we’ll meet again
and never, never part.

She’s the sweetest
little lady
that Texas ever knew.
Her eyes are bright as diamonds;
they sparkle
like the dew.
You may find a lot of pretty girls
Wherever you may be,
But the Yellow Rose
of Texas
Is the only one for me.

Where the Rio Grande is flowing,
And stars are
shining bright,
We walked
along the river
One quiet
summer night.
I know that she remembers
Our parting long ago.
I promised
to return to her
And never let her go.

She’s the sweetest
little lady
that Texas ever knew.
Her eyes are bright as diamonds;
they sparkle
like the dew.
You may find a lot of pretty girls
Wherever you may be,
But the Yellow Rose
of Texas
Is the only one for me.

Now I’m going back
to find her,
My heart is full of woe.
We’ll sing the songs together
We sang so long ago.
I’ll pick the
banjo gladly,
Just like I did before. The Yellow Rose
of Texas
Shall be mine forevermore.

She’s the sweetest
little lady
that Texas ever knew.
Her eyes are bright as diamonds;
they sparkle
like the dew.
You may find a lot of pretty girls
Wherever you may be,
But the Yellow Rose
of Texas
Is the only one for me.
