Cottonwood-Oak Creek Schools has launched a new mobile app to help students, parents, and community members know what is happening on campus from their phones. Most families use their phones as a primary means of communication, so we've created an app that is custom-built to your school for smartphones. On the app, your students, parents, and community can read the latest announcements, locate staff contact information, review upcoming events, and find important documents. What an outstanding fundraiser we held here at MVP to support families in South Sudan without access to clean water! The fourth graders spent time reading, learning, and researching about water. Through their experiences, they decided to raise funds to support an organization that provides Wells for families Who have to walk Miles in miles before they can get to a water source. Many of these water sources are filled with disease and contamination. They reached out to their MVP families and had a dollar drive to raise money. In the three weeks during the fundraiser, they were able to raise $693! All of these funds will be sent to waterforsouthsudan.org, which donates 100% towards the building of wells. Thank you so much for all who helped to donate. Congratulations to the four classes that brought in the most money: Mrs. Reay, fourth grade, Mrs. Sanchez, sixth grade, Mrs. Zienka, third grade, and Mrs. Ozuna third grade. We are so proud of our community.

We have a new communication app. It is called Apptegy. It has all the important items such as calendars, menus, news, etc. It also has our posts just like Facebook.
Please download it and help us better communicate with our families and community. It is available on Google Play as well as Apple Apps. You can search for Cottonwood-Oak Creek and find the app with the Apple logo. Once you download the app, click Allow notifications. Choose the school(s)s/district sites you want to follow and you are good to go. It’s awesome!!!

Seventh graders at MVP created projects to wrap up their Revolutionary War unit. They were so creative!! Some chose to create flags, which had to be on anything but paper, and they took that challenge seriously!

January 27th the Verde Valley Independent and Camp Verde Bugle printed the FOOD INSPECTIONS from the Yavapai County Community Health Services Department from June-December 2023. All 5 Cottonwood-Oak Creek Schools passed with NO VIOLATiONS during the inspection time. Congratulations to Sodexo and the Cottonwood-Oak Creek Food Service department.
